Useless FAQS

• Grand Cayman is in the Caribbean Sea.  The Island offers calm waters year round.  The surfing is horrible most of the year and so is the snow skiing and mountain climbing

• Why do all sites need a FAQ page?  Do people actually read this stuff?

• Grand Cayman only has 40,000 inhabitants.  50% are foreigners.  Many of the "foreigners" have been here 25+ years
• The Cayman Islands are British, English is the spoken language
• It might not sound like English but it is!
• You can drive from one end of Grand Cayman to the other in less than 45 minutes, we often complain it takes too long to drive "cross Country"
• We only have one main road

• 60% of our tourism consists of returning visitors
• Most visited Grand Cayman for the first time on a Cruise Ship just to "check it out"
• Our sand does not burn your feet, it is entirely made of crushed coral, it resembles Baby Powder
• Most of our sand comes from the "belly" (edited for content do to our G rating) of the Parrot Fish, they "produce" up to one pound of sand a year
• Next time you swallow water while snorkeling don't think of that!
• Grand Cayman's Sea water is so clear it makes swimming pools look bad!
• You can see the bottom of your dive boat from 100ft underwater
• No, you cannot swim under the Island
• Yes, the water goes "all the way around"
• Christmas is on Dec. 25th here too!!
• Yes, we actually live here!!!!!!
• People always ask "Where is the beach?", when I travel to Colorado I can't help but ask "Where is the snow?".  They don't get it....
• If you really want a laugh read our daily "police report", we don't have crime here.  The cops actually look for "suspect cows" that leave the scene of an accident!
• Cops do not carry guns in the Cayman Islands
• There is no need!
• Our rocks are sharp enough, just look at Hell for answers (Hell Grand Cayman that is...)
• We have no poverty or beggars, it's too expensive here to be poor!  Poor people can't afford to live here!
• Our unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the World
• Please drive on the left!!
• I can't believe you are still reading this!
